Batman 80th Anniversary sets revealed!

I am a little late in covering this, but better late than never I always say. Anyways, the 80th anniversary of Batman is coming up, and LEGO is releasing another wave of Batman sets. Yay? I wish the sets would go back to being all of DC rather than just Batman. I love Batman, but too much of him will drive you batty. (sorrynotsorry) Bad puns aside, I think this is a much stronger wave than what we have gotten previously.

Batmobile: Pursuit of the Joker - $29.99 - 342 Pieces

We have to talk about this set first, because I love the Tim Burton Batmobile, and I am really excited to see it in LEGO. I am really considering picking this one up. It is a gorgeous set; I really love this one.

Mr. Freeze Batcycle Battle - $19.99 - 200 Pieces

I love the new Mr. Freeze in this set, he looks really good. The helmet seems to be a new piece. I think the Batcycle thing is kinda cool, I think it would be better if it split apart, otherwise this is a Bat-Quad.

Batman Batwing and the Riddler Heist - $49.99 - 489 Pieces

I also am a fan of the Tim Burton Batwin as well, and I really like this set. Also we have Shazam in this set for some reason? This is his first wide release figure, but he only seems to be there to cash in on the new Shazam film. The Chopper build seems copied from the 60's Batcave set, but the Police car has an interesting design.

Batcave Clayface Invasion - $99.99 - 1,038 Pieces

I have mixed feelings on this one. The Clayface figure looks kinda odd here, the LEGO Batman Movie one was much better. The rest of the build seems okay, but I really love the tank thing. It just screams that it is meant to be played with. The figures here are okay; the new Two-Face is a welcome update and the Catwoman figure is pretty good.

Batman vs The Riddler Robbery - $9.99 - 59 Pieces

I ain't got much to say on this one, except it is pretty good for younger fans. It fits the LEGO Juniors/4+ formula just fine.

Batman and the Joker Escape - $39.99 - 171 Pieces

I am not much of a Harley Quinn fan, but many other LEGO fans are excited about her appearance in this set. I am not really too big on the chopper in this set, and the Arkham build is fairly lackluster. I am not too big of a fan of these over simplified sets, but they seem so sell.
