LEGO Minecraft The Iron Golem Review

Hi everyone! Today I have a review of the LEGO Minecraft set The Iron Golem. The set retails for around 20 dollars in the United States.

Special thanks to my grandmother for buying me this set.

The set is honestly pretty simple. It has no major features. It looks like some normal generated terrain where somebody set up a base and made an Iron Golem. There is a small water feature and a few dark green tiles littered about.

In the terrain, you get a pumpkin and a poppy, as well as a stack of blocks you can mine away to get to the iron.

The iron ore is pretty simple. (Sorry for the blurry picture.)

The little base has a furnace and a crafting table. The torch on top lights up the area as you work.

In the center of the build is a group of iron blocks in the formation necessary to make an Iron Golem.

You can then add a pumpkin to create an Iron Golem!

You can then play with the Golem. The play feature is a little on the boring side, but I bet little kids will love flipping out the Iron Golem.

The Iron Golem itself is a pretty good build. It utilizes ball joints for the arms and a simple bar connection for the feet. The head is exclusive, though it is the same mold as is used villagers in the The Village set. The prints are all pretty great. The golem has some hand to hold things.

I do have a several complaints though.

The Iron Golem is very unrealistic. I complained about this when the Village set was revealed. It looks nothing like the in game mob.

Also, the Golem is very fragile and falls apart easily when played with. If you want a better version, see JANGBRiCK's better version

Alex is not exclusive, but is a pretty great figure. I do like the sand green torso. I do like how detailed the figure is in comparison to the other LEGO Minecraft Minifigs.

Alex also comes with a Diamond Pickaxe, which is an amazing tool to get.

The zombie is a plain figure, with minimal prints and a pretty great color scheme. I do like this figure a lot!

The pig is the cutest thing ever! I love it so much and I want to get a ton of these.

Overall, I really like the Pig.  I do think the set is kind meh. I like getting the furnace, Alex and the Zombie. OI do hope to build an improved version of the Golem. For a 20 dollar set with two exclusive figures and a Zombie, I think it is a good deal.

Anyway, that's all for now, thanks for reading!
